I was browsing through my 'old blog' - than I was amazed how I've expressed myself in that blog - so many good postings, and one of them I'm gonna re-write it in here.
This is about the sermon from Pastor Ryan, about the miracle of 5 bread and 2 fishes.

I'm so blessed today with the sermon from Pastor Ryan Fullerton at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
And I wanna share it with you guys.

You all probaby have known well about the passage John 6:1-15 This passage is about Jesus fed 5000 people with 5 bread and 2 fish.

From this passage, we will learn how Jesus try to test his disciples about trusting Jesus.

(5) Therefore Jesus, ... said to Philip, " Where are to buy bread, so that these may eat ?"
(6) This He was saying to test him, for He Himself knew what He was intending to do.

We do all some time got a test in our life; we should learn that the test itself is to refine us and give us perseverance. Let's find out what Jesus try to teach here :

1. Jesus test His people within possible problems
(5) Therefore Jesus, ... said to Philip, " Where are to buy bread, so that these may eat ?"
(6) This He was saying to test him, for He Himself knew what He was intending to do.
(7) Philip answered Him, " Two hundreds Denarii (money currency at that time) worth of bread is
not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little. "

For Philip, the situasion was not ideal at all; There were 5000 crowd to be fed; he was so tired to do the shopping; and also all the stores have been closed. Jesus test/question is purely impossible case.
Yes; in others bible we may find out that all situation could be impossible : David has to fight the giant Goliath, Israelties have to pass over the red sea, etc.
Yes; all of those are impossible in human sight; but remember, IT IS POSSIBLE IN GOD SIGHT. If We think what we can do with 5 bread and 2 fish, of course it's impossible, but if we think more what God can do -- it will be POSSIBLE

2. (verse 6) Jesus knew what He's going to do during the test.
How many times we mad at God what things are going crazy and we blame God that He doesn't
care. God knew what He's going to do with our life; with all the tests in our life. We just have to trust in HIM and let HIM leads us to face all the tests.

3. (verse 9) --Andrew said.., " There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what
are these for so many people ?"
Philip and Andrew try so hard to use their common sense to fix on the problems; same with us. How many times we use our common sense to judge on our problems; we try to avoid a choice which is not match with men common sense; well, we forget something, we have to include the REALITY OF GOD into our common sense.. There is GOD who have all the power, the sovereignity -- Reality of God is the most true common sense for human. If Andrew and Philip include Jesus in their common sense calculation; they should not be worry about all... and neither should us.

4. (verse 11) Jesus then took the loaves and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted.
What Jesus did was very encouraging. He gives thank before they have enough food to eat. The disciples might be confused when Jesus given thanks to only 5 bread and 2 fish...
Please ask ourselves; do we thank God when we're in the big trouble / test ? when we haven't receive the answer of our pray ? If you fully trust in GOD, have faith, and thank GOD for all the sorrow... Don't you trust the absolut sufficiency of GOD to our NEEDS (not our demands).
