Welcome Davina

Today was another story for our school; today we're gonna have the 3rd Indonesian in our School. One and a half year ago I was the first Indonesian who came to Southern, then last semester Martus came as a second; and today we're having Davina - the 25th years old single woman - music student wanna be - still has not decided on her major yet - piano or composition.

When I looked back one and a half year ago; the first day I came to the seminary, I knew no one (well only the student coordinator, mr Withers). So I knew how it feels to be alone - no friend - no help. Therefore, I tried to help the new Indonesian student - so that she would feel welcome and 'at home'.

So, me and the student coordinator - Mr. Withers - we picked her up at the airport around 11 am. Then we went straight home. Mr. Wither has taken care of the dorm thing for her. So she lives in the girls dorm on campus. Then we took her around campus.
During lunch I and Davina ate in Cafetaria, where we met some other girls they I know. It's important to know people here in school - so it's a good step for her actually. Haha, the funny thing is, people seems has a difficulty to say her name - one of my friend keep calling her Il-Divo or something =)

Davina has been to US before, so she speaks english pretty well - and she knows a bit about the systems here, it means she's not totally blind about what she needs and everything (which is good - i didn't have such kind of attitude before .. haha). And I thought she could blend pretty well with others here on campus.

In the evening we (and several friends) had a nice dinner in my apartment - Ajeen and I cooked. And the after that we went for grocery shopping, since we know that she would need to buy basic living supply.
