Most of us wants to get out from the sufferings and live a comfort and happy life. Unfortunately the answer of that wish is NO. Noone lives outside the sufferings in this world. Then, what should we do to ease our pain and hurt in this world?
One question that I have in my mind right now is how can I contribute in order to help people to go through their sufferings; and I think my heart is growing towards that path. I long to let the hurtful ones know that they are not alone; and they may find REAL HOPE when they turn their eyes upon the Lord.
I remember a famous prayer for St. Francis of Assisi:
"Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life."
Quitely I whisper this prayer and open my heart to let His love channel through my life to people around me who needs eternal peace from the Lord.
