One simple lesson about what "Idolatory" is:
When the gifts become the gods, or when the gifts become more important then the giver.
Something that we pursue more than God: money? pleasure? career? family? friends? relationship? or religious acts?
When we read about the story of the "foolish rich young man"; we might think that we won't be that foolish to choose belongings rather than God. Unfortunately, our idol most of the time is very subtle (at least for me).
God made me realize that what I'm worry about lately is the idol that separate me from God. "Choose this day whom do you will serve" {Joshua 24:14-15}
Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart.
