Up dates

Hi friends... I'm appologize for not up dating my blog lately. After coming back from my summer vacation back home, my life has been quite busy and I put a little effort to let myself writing something here ... hehehe...! But I'm here now... banging the letters on my keyboard... :P

Short summary of my home vacation:
I spent a whole two weeks in Yogyakarta with a group of Americans; we were studying Gamelan music. Huaaah! I've never thought I would ever study this music. Before in my college, next to our choir room, there was a gamelan group which having their practice at the same time while we were practicing the western choir music, but I had never given a damn to the gamelan group before.

But now ... It was a great experience. I played the DEMUNG (like a xylophone with pentatonic tune). We did some recording and we sang in Javanese. Aren't you curious how a bunch of American try to sing in Javanese language? *grin*
Then I spent two days in East Java (Surabaya and Malang) to meet with my older sister and some of my relatives. Gosh.. those two days in East Java were filled with a lot of eating.. I mean A LOT!! I have many aunts and uncles who were gladly trying to fatten myself up! At some point I felt that I could not take it anymore; I was afraid of FOOD... food trauma - I said.. hahaha. However, the trip to Malang (my sister's home) was quite fruitful. I met with some people who might become the turnover of my future... we'll see.
Finally, I flew to Jakarta, my beloved city which I grew up. I spent only a week - a very short time period consider the time that I had to spend with my family and a bunch of beloved friends! I had a great time with them. I felt abundantly happy with my family time - it was so encouraging to feel welcome at home and being apart with mom, dad and sisters.. I love you all!
I realized that the show was still going on while I was not there in Jakarta. I missed a lot precious moments: friend's marriages, new career, loosing job, achievements, struggles, tears and happy events; but well... it happened! I know there are some unfinshed business when I left my vacation - but I will carry them with me - and follow up them through my prayer and my best effort to keep contact with my family and friends.

Back to my life here in United States. The trip home brought one big change in my future plan. I decided that I need to continue my study here in United States to learn more theology. The bad news is I can't go back home soon, and the good news is I have to stay longer in US.... oopss.. both is the same thing! Hahahaha...
I'm taking two theology classes, two music lasses, one voice lesson, and one instrument (still playing Timpani for the orchestra). However my main focus now is to prepare my graduate recital which is going to be held on October 29.
