Birthday can bring out a lot of different emotion.
Happy! Excited!
Probably I felt like that during my teen birthday; figuring out who was going to wish me Happy Birthday first, who would give me presents, what fast food restaurant to celebrate birthday with friends (uang masih cekak booo!! anak sekolah geto loooh!)
Mature, Powerful!
During my 20's when I was a succesful white collar (cieeekh!); birthday was a prestige. A time to feel good about yourself, about what you've achieved in such a young age. Happy to spend some money to treat friends (or people who call themselves my friend), because I'm powerful, mature, and more or less succesful.
Almost plain, thinking.
Now, in my 30's, birthday is not a big celebration. Time when you can find who are your real friends who care enough to blow a wish for you. Time to close your eyes and think... how did I do with my year? think... what should I do better for my new year? and think... boy! Life is to short to just doing unneccesary things... time to reach more wisdom... hopefully.
Yeaah... birthday is always something in different way.
