Good Friday / Jumat Agung

Jumat Agung..., di Amerika, mereka menyebutnya Good Friday..., a bit funny isn't it? Bcoz what was happened on that Friday was not something "good" but the reason we called it Good Friday bcoz we all know what happened the next Sunday...

Hari ini gw ikut Good Friday service di South East Christian Church , karena gereja gw sendiri gak ada Good Friday service... aneh memang yah, di Amrik ini kebanyakan gereja gak ngadain GOod Friday service... sampe sekarang gw blon tahu apa alasan pastinya.

Mostly the service is a very quiet and reverance, sangat cocok utk reflective time, and that's what I did. Khotbahnya tentang dua penjahat yg disalib bersama Yesus; kita diajak untuk berpikir kira-kira apa yang membuat si penjahat itu kemudian percaya - in the moment of service, gw sempat merenungkan betapa besar pengorbanan Kristus diatas kayu salib, Dia sebenarnya punya pilihan untuk berkata TIDAK, tetapi Dia melakukan itu karena aku, kamu dan kita semua - I cried and thanked God for what He has done for me. Service diakhiri dengan perjamuan kudus yang agak special, kita maju ke meja-meja perjamuan yg sudah disiapkan, mengambil roti dan anggur, lalu kita boleh berlutut dan berdoa tanpa terburu-buru secara pribadi, dan Worship Team terus menyanyikan lagu2 tentang Salib dan Kasih Tuhan, dan kita diberi kebebasan untuk tinggal dan berdoa, atau pulang setelah selesai perjamuan.

Walaupun secara fisik kita tidak hadir saat Tuhan disalib, tetapi kita dapat mengecap kasih Tuhan diatas kayu salib, pada saat kita membuka hati kita untuk menerima kasihNya, mengizinkan darahNya membasuh dosa-dosa kita... Dan saat itu kita berkata, ya Tuhan.. aku berada di bawah salibMu dan merasakan pengorbananMu yang begitu besar bagiku.

Dan inilah kasih itu, bukan kita yang lebih dahulu mengasihi, tetapi Kristus yang terlebih dahulu mengasihi kita, bahkan rela memberikan nyawaNya sebagai penebusan bagi dosa-dosa kita.
